Just what is DWF? A DWF
file is a highly compressed 2D vector file that you can use to publish
your AutoCAD drawing on the World Wide Web. The
AutoCAD Internet Utilities (provided as a bonus application) let you embed
URLs (Universal Resource Locators) into your AutoCAD drawings, which become
hyperlinks to other Web pages when the drawing is saved as a DWF file.
You can download the latest version of this from Autodesk. You can set the precision of your DWF files between 16 and 32 bits, with the default being 20 bits. For simple drawings there's little visual difference. However, for more complex drawings and fine details, you'll need higher precision. Hidden line DWF tends to show the lack of line quality. |
